Change a dinner without losing prepared food
Apply confirmed pantry quantities, then record the roast as prepared with its finish time and actual storage. Its allocated raw pantry stock is consumed once. The original serving count, measured share count and preparation time stay fixed when dinners change.
Choose a replacement with a complete recipe. Reapply the plan to check every ingredient and equipment requirement. A failed exclusion match never removes your restriction.
A skipped roast dinner keeps its original share in reserve and removes that dinner’s other ingredients from future shopping. Restoring the dinner reuses that share. A new roast dinner cannot exceed the recorded batch’s shares; start fresh for a new batch.
Already prepared amounts are raw-equivalent accounting credits, not cooked weights. They are deducted before calculating shortages and package purchases. The prep list checks the existing roast instead of cooking it again. Other dishes are still planned as unprepared.
A refrigerated roast cannot be reassigned beyond the original 72-hour planning window. Only a batch recorded as promptly frozen can be scheduled later. Never freeze an over-window refrigerated portion to extend its life.
Procurement differences show how the list changed, not whether you already bought anything. Add purchases to your remaining raw pantry stock with confirmed quantity and state before rebuilding. Package surplus follows actual product labels; it is not guaranteed usable next week.
